AVK Studios and Productions Private Limited is an established, end-to-end media and film post-production studio based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. With over 15 years in the industry, the company delivers comprehensive production and post-production infrastructure to filmmakers, independent creators, and digital media brands. SEA AND THE LEAF FILMS 

An independent film production company founded by Vijai Sankar and Laya Chandralekha in 2025.

Vijai Sankar is an editor and filmmaker based in Chennai, India. With over two decades of experience, he has edited more than 35 feature films, as well as documentaries and a wide range of audiovisual formats, including corporate films, trailers, music videos, and advertisements. His work includes Abu, Son of Adam (Malayalam), India’s official entry to the Academy Awards in 2011, and the documentary series Harmony with A.R. Rahman (2018). He served as a Preliminary Jury Member for the 2023 Kerala State Film Awards.

Laya Chandralekha is a writer-director from Kerala, India. She is a graduate of the K. R. Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts, where she trained in Film Direction and Screenwriting. Her short films and documentary work have screened at national and international festivals, including the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. In 2020, she received the Best Performer Award at the Lohithadas Memorial Screenwriting Camp organised by the FEFKA Writers Union. She was selected as a screenwriter for Creative Minds of Tomorrow at the 56th International Film Festival of India. Alongside filmmaking, she writes in Malayalam across poetry, short fiction, and criticism, with publications in leading periodicals since 2019.
